Sóstó Zoo’s Oceanarium demonstrates the fauna and flora of the world’s seas and oceans. These enormous water surfaces covering more than 70% of our planet play a determining role in the life of humankind. The fauna and flora of oceans and seas is extremely diversified, this mysterious and exciting world is home to millions of animals ranging from tiny jellyfish to gigantic whales.

The Oceanarium came to life on the underground floor of the Green Pyramid. Visitors can get acquainted there with hundreds of animals from the richly coloured tropical fish of the coral world to the sandbar shark, which is dangerous to humans. The tank of 500.000 liters, the glass corridor – a real rarity – and numerous panorama aquariums bring the fascinating underwater world within visitors’ reach.
