The Common ostrich is the largest species of bird, the average height of Ostriches reaches 2.5 meters. Ostriches occupy open areas which are easy to see across, grassy savannas and deserts. Ostriches are flightless, their legs are very strong so they can run very fast, at a speed of up to 64 km/h.
