The Sitatunga lives a semiaquatic lifestyle, spending most of its time in or near water. It is a good swimmer and often submerges into the water in case of danger or feeding. Its long hooves are elongated like slippers, these allowed the Sitatunga to adapt to moving on the swampy ground.
