The mission of the Nyíregyházi Állatpark Nonprofit Kft. (Nyíregyháza Zoo Non-profit Ltd.) (SóstóZoo) is to show the ecological environment, which surrounds us, to the younger generations at a very high standard in the eastern, less developed region of Hungary. We wish to make people understand, draw attention to, and announce that everything on this Earth is connected to everything else, and that the humans, of all species, have the greatest responsibility for preserving the fauna and the flora for the future generations.
The Zoo with one of the largest animal collections of Europe welcomes the animal lovers in an oak forest with a truly special atmosphere. Our Zoo actively participates in species rescue programs and nature conservation research. Thanks our educational activities, we are increasing the number of people who take responsibility for the protection of animals and nature conservation. Our colleagues work 24 hours every day of the week to ensure that our animals live under the most ideal conditions and that a trip to Nyíregyháza Zoo will be a pleasant experience for our visiting guests.
